Rain Tree Cottage is not your typical bed and breakfast, but a Private Guest Home that provides unique accommodations and a perfect destination for vacations, retreats, wedding night stays, honeymoons, and visits to the historical city of Chico and California State University. Located between Sacramento and Redding, about 6 miles north of downtown Chico, Rain Tree Cottage is very inviting in its scenic country setting, surrounding you with breathtaking views of the Cohasset Foothills, seasonal Rock Creek, rose garden, fruit and nut trees and more! Rain Tree Cottage offers a full kitchen and dining area as well as outdoor deck, workout area, swimming pool and spa.

Rates

$175 per night (Single or double occupancy, two adults max.)
$15 for an additional guest per night
A $50 non-refundable deposit per night is required upon booking, with balance due upon arrival. Cash/VISA/MC. Rates subject to change without notice.

Our facilities are non-smoking.
Swimming pool open to guests only.
Children must be accompanied by parent(s) and supervised.

Directions

Take Hwy 99 north to Keefer Road.
(Approximately 2 miles north of the Garner Lane stoplight, which is about 1 mile north of the Eaton Road exit.)
Turn Right onto Keefer Road.
Rain Tree Lane is the 4th street on the left.
(Approximately 8/10 of a mile down Keefer Road.)
Rain Tree Cottage is located at 22 Rain Tree Lane-the last home on the right at the end of the lane.

Q: How is a Private Guest Home different from a typical hotel or "bed and breakfast" room?
A:  A private guest home is a refreshingly unique and private destination for your wedding night. A private guest home can be much more inviting than a typical hotel or bed and breakfast with personal, pampering touches such as a welcome note for the bride and groom, champagne on ice upon arrival, appropriate warming décor, plus any personal requests you may have, just to name a few. Also, privacy can be assured along with many extras such as your own kitchen and food requests, private pool or spa, lounging areas and even room to hang your wedding dress and tuxedo!

Q: How far in advance do I need to make my wedding night reservations?
A:  Due to the high demand and small supply of private guest homes, be sure to book your wedding night as early as possible to ensure your reservation. Many honeymoon planners even recommend staying two nights so you can relax and refresh before leaving for your honeymoon. A private guest home is a terrific transition opportunity between your wedding reception and your honeymoon.

Q: How much does a Private Guest Home usually cost?
A:  The rate for a private guest home is comparable to a typical "honeymoon suite" at a hotel or bed and breakfast room, although of course with much more to offer. The peace and spaciousness alone of a private guest home are priceless!
